It’s a new school year and now is the time for new-school-year resolutions. Make riddles part of those resolutions! Here’s an easy way to begin. While you’re putting names on sticks to be used in your classroom, set some aside so that you can make your very own RIDDLE STICKS. Put a riddle on one side of the stick with the answer on the other side. Deposit them into a small basket or bag and you instantly have a reserve of riddles ready for those times when you have an extra minute or two. You’ll be amazed at how easily you can quiet down the masses when you pull out a riddle stick. You can also use riddles as a reward when you choose a student to share a riddle with the class. You’ll be delighted to see what your students will do to earn the privilege of asking their peers a riddle!
